Hi, I'm Natalie, the Founder of Exhale HQ. This space was born from years of holding very much needed venting sessions with people close to me. The conversation would go something like: "I need to vent". Met with: "Okay. Go". For however long was needed, we would listen to the other release everything that had been building up in their life at the time.
When things are challenging for us one of the first physiological responses we experience is restriction of breath. I have found that one of the most difficult things to do is to exhale, because exhaling tells our nervous system – 'it's okay, we are safe, we can relax now'. And so often, we do not feel even remotely okay, safe, or relaxed.
Sometimes, all we actually need is to be heard – so we can lean into a deep, full body exhale.
As a Masters of Psychotherapy student and long-term dedicated yogi, I created Exhale HQ to give you exactly that. 20-minute listening sessions that are warm, intentional and focused intervals dedicated entirely to you – to vent, release and allow your mind and body to finally catch up to one another.
